No time to think through that web project you've been hoping to get round to? Help is at hand!

In just a few weeks, Boston University in Brussels will again be offering its popular "Introduction to e-Commerce and Website Design" where students learn to work with business issues in the online world. As part of the course, the students design and build a website to address a genuine business situation. Lecturer in e-Commerce and e-Business Charles Crouch makes these projects as authentic as possible by having the students work with real companies and organizations on actual business issues.

This is a unique opportunity for organizations, small or large, to obtain a thorough external analysis of an internet development - with no consultant fees! Though the website produced by the students will not be of commercial quality - they are not learning to be website designers, the project will provide you with a prototype website or first draft solution. If you wish to develop the project further, you will be in a much better position to take this material to a professional developer, as you will have already considered many of the issues in advance.

The projects will start in mid-September and will conclude by mid-December. There is no cost to you for participating in the project. However your participation will involve several meetings with the students to help them understand your business issues and to give feedback as they develop the solution: naturally the more time you devote, the better the results for both you and the students. We would also welcome your presence at a formal class presentation in mid-December at Boston University.
